About me!

Hello, I'm Lewis Davies, and welcome to my website. I'm a young award-winning independent filmmaker, animator, cartoonist, and artist who is currently living in Blackwood, Wales.

My interest in film started back in 2005 when I first saw the original "King Kong" at the age of 9 during the same year before Peter Jackson's remake was released. I was later introduced to the work by Ray Harryhausen and after seeing his films during my childhood, I started to make my own films in the following year with my family's camera trying to make my own animation films. As I grew interested in film and animation, I started to get some more influences from Tim Burton, Edgar Wright, Richard Williams, Hayao Miyazaki, Yoh Yoshinari, Robert Rodriguez, and a few others.

During the rise of YouTube, I got myself a Digital Blue Camera where I make my own models out of clay or use action figures for my shorts. But it wasn't until I started YouTube on the 4th of May 2009 that I made my channel "TheLewisDProductions" which lasted for two years until I made a new account, "LewisDavies2007" as a fresh start. As much I upload on my channel, I made another account called Lewis Davies Productions where I put my short films on the channel in 2013 and I've been using both channels ever since.

My plan is to have a career in film, web or television. It could be a film maker, animator or an illustrator.
