SHORT FILMS
These are the collection of short films I made since the early 2010s.
THE DEMON FROM VENUS (2013)
A Stop motion short film that I made back in 2013 as a tribute to one of my biggest influences, Ray Harryhausen who passed away on May at that year. After his passing, I wanted to make something special for him and as a result I made a short animated film about a demon creature from Venus.
The short tells about two astronauts becoming the first men to reach to Venus by a high powered rocket. Upon its landing, they find a alien creature going around, attacking the other creatures until they captured the creature and was to brought back to Earth to be experimented on. But things suddenly goes wrong when the creature escapes.
THE LOCATION OF DOCTOR HIIDWARF - TRAILER (2016)
A Fake Trailer to one of my film ideas from my teenage years, "The Location of Doctor Hiidwarf" which was a remake to the 1955 film, "Bride of the Monster" by Edward D Wood Jr.
Even though the full film based on this idea wasn't made (not yet at least) but I decided to make a trailer out of it to see what it should be been like.
GODZILLA (1954) - REMAKE (2017)
A stop motion animated short film which is a remake to the Japanese monster film, "Godzilla".
NIGHT OF THE SOULLESS STALKER (2017)
A 2017 silent horror short film inspired from the films from the classic era, "Frankenstein" (1931) "Nosterfau" (1922) and "The Cabinet of Dr Caligari" (1920). This is the project I made in three days during my summer holiday back in that year.
The short tells about the creator who creates the creature by using dead body parts as his experiment. After finishing his creature, the lightening sparked the awakening of the creature, causing it to come alive. It goes to wander until it come face to face with his creator.
KING KONG - UNFINISHED (2018)
Ever since 2005, I been attempting to remake King Kong as a short film but it been on hold for years due to other things I work. But I finally started working on the fan film in early 2017 and hoping to finish it in March 2018. But due to production problems and behind schedule. I was unable to finish the film for the 85th anniversary of the original's release. Despite from not finishing it on time, I don't want it to go to waste, so I released the workprint of the fan film to let anyone see what I'm doing with it. I was thinking of finishing it in the near future but right now, I'm focusing on making on other projects.
THE THING CALLED MUTANT! - PROTOTYPE TRAILER (2018)
A 1950s fake trailer to one of my projects I've been hoping to make is "The Thing called Mutant!"
In the original idea, I was thinking of a guy transforming into a mutant after the nuclear power planet accident and goes around attacking people. But I have some plans to make a revamp of this idea to see what I could have done with this project.
BACON & EGG (2020)
A stop motion/live action short film about An egg and Bacon coming to life in the kitchen until they meet their horrible demise.
This was my first short film during the lockdown when I experimental on food animation by using an egg and and some bacon.
It was influenced on Jan Svankmajer's stop animation when he made some short films that involves meat.
RAY HARRYHAUSEN - 100TH BIRTHDAY TRIBUTE (2020)
A short birthday tribute to one of my biggest filmmaking idols, Ray Harryhausen who have turned a century old on June 2020.
As a tribute, I made a short film about a guy fighting against an Allosaurus in his backyard before meeting his demise.
BEYOND THE MINE OF KYROLLS (2021)
This is something I've been doing for a really long time. I was thinking of making my Lovecraftian short film for many years and I had finally able to make a film inspired of the work by H. P. Lovecraft.
The short tells about a young man who goes on a request to find the forbidden knowledge that summons the demon god named "Kyrolls" buried underneath the coal mine after many decades.
